Bristol
In 1910, an aircraft building company was founded in Great Britain, which has become legendary both in its business and in the production of automobiles. During the First and Second World Wars, the company became famous for the production of famous bombers, but after the war, its products were unclaimed by the government. As a result, Chief Engineer Roy Fedden had to look for new markets and redesign the company. This is how the history of the Bristol automobile brand begins, which to this day is considered a magnificent example of a luxury car.
In 1947, the first car of the Bristol company was presented to the public, distinguished by excellent aerodynamics and beautiful smooth body contours. One of the distinctive features that have survived to this day is the large engine and a special aluminum body frame. The car successfully debuted in races and already in 1949 the next model, the Bristol-401, saw the light.
In 1958, the old BMW engine was replaced with a Chrysler V8. Since then, almost all cars in the series have been equipped with such large engines, over 3 liters.
Bristol is a hand-built automobile for wealthy customers. Every detail has its own charm. The build quality is checked many times, which is why these machines are considered one of the most reliable in the world. In the 1980s, model numbers were replaced with names that are still heard by car lovers: Britannia, Beaufort and Beau-Fighter won the hearts of motorists around the world. Today the company produces only one model - the Blenheim.
